Hi Y'all! I'm so glad you stopped by! I wanted to share how MarisaMade came to be!

I have been drawing since a kid with my dad, and so, I decided to study art and design at Marshall University. I worked for ad agencies, and got stuck in a creative rut. I went back to school at West Virginia University for my MBA and began a career in HR. I stopped drawing, painting and creating all together. Along the way, my husband and I started a family! I chose to stay at home with my children and found myself back at the drawing table.

A year into MarisaMade, I found out my middle son, Maxwell, had FOXG1 syndrome. It is a debilitating neurological condition affecting all aspects of development. Despite the challenges, Maxwell perseveres and shows us the meaning of strength, courage, and bravery. I wanted my products to stand for something and start educating others about FOXG1 syndrome since it is so rare. On the back of my cards, you will find info about FOXG1 Syndrome.
